Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

Students require the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) to enter universities in North America and around the world. Overseas educational credentials are recognized in Ontario.  To receive the OSSD, students must:

  • Students must complete 30 credit courses (including compulsory credits)
  • Complete 40 hours of community service
  • Pass the literacy test or course
